When you sign in to Skrol using Google, we receive the following information from Google:

• Your Google profile picture

We also collect information about your use of Skrol, including the scripture references you analyze and your daily usage count.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your Skrol account
• Personalize your experience and display your name
• Track daily usage to enforce free tier limits
• Improve the Skrol service over time

Data Storage

Your account information and usage data are stored securely using Supabase, a trusted database platform. Scripture analyses are cached in our database to improve performance and consistency. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Google Sign-In

Skrol uses Google OAuth for authentication. By signing in with Google, you authorize Skrol to access your basic profile information as described above. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings.

Cookies and Local Storage

Skrol uses browser local storage to track anonymous usage for users who are not signed in. Signed-in users have their usage tracked server-side. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

Third-Party Services

Skrol uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic Claude — powers scripture analysis
• Supabase — database and authentication
• Google OAuth — sign-in
• Netlify — hosting
• Stripe — payment processing (for supporters)

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

Skrol is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
